ABOUT ABOUT

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the publication of James Joyce’s Ulysses, Network collaborates with The Rosenbach to present a new song cycle based on select passages from the novel by Grammy Award-winning composer Lansing McLoskey.

McLoskey’s commissioned song cycle One Book Called Ulysses, featuring mezzo-soprano Maren Montalbano and scored for voice and sinfonietta, will be featured alongside selections from Joyce Cycle by Otto Luening, who worked closely with Joyce in the English Players Company, Samuel Barber's Solitary Hotel, which uses text from Ulysses, and Joyce’s original song “Bid Adieu to Girlish Days.”

All ticket buyers will receive a link for a live stream ahead of the concert in case they cannot attend.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for entry and mask use required for the duration of the performance. The event will also be live-streamed and then presented online at a later date for ticket buyers.
